It has been a great week in Matilda class. The children had two great transfer days into year two and I know that they are very much looking forward for the big move after the holidays.
Since then we have done lots of fantastic learning. We have been growing beans in science and have been looking at how they have grown over the past weeks from bean into plant. In R.E. we have been looking at how we can care for our planet and the children made some wonderful posters describing all the things that we can do to better preserve the environment.
However, it’s not all been work! This week the children have been showing off all of their skills for singing, dancing and much more in our class talent show. I was blown away by the variety and the quality of the acts that took place. They were truly wonderful. Myself and the other year 1 staff will be thinking long and hard about who we will be putting through to appear on the stage in the hall on the last day of term. If I could have my way it would be all of them! I hope you have a relaxing and cheerful weekend!
