Year 6 – Greenhouse Experiment

In PSHE, we have been learning about climate change and its causes and effects.  We learnt about greenhouse gases and carried out an experiment to see these effects. 

We had to use a piece of fruit, two containers and a lid or piece of clingfilm. We then cut the fruit into two pieces and covered one of the containers with a lid or clingfilm.

Over the course of a week, we observed our two pieces of fruit and wrote down our observations every day, and after seven days, here is the  outcome. You will see that one piece of fruit looks different and this is the same effect as a greenhouse gas.
