Hello everyone and welcome back!
I hope you all had a lovely Easter break and enjoyed the little bit of sunshine we had!
Firstly, I want to begin by saying a big well done because Mozart were the winners of the Year 4 Times Table Rockstar battle that took place over the Easter break! It was brilliant to see so many of you practising your times tables over the half term.
We have all had a fantastic first day back and it was brilliant to see that you all returned to school with lots of smiles and ready to learn. We started our unit of work on ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’ in English today by reading the play and learning about some of the main characters and events. In Maths, we learnt how to find non-unit fractions of an amount. Here are two BBC Bitesize links that are helpful to re-cap the learning we have completed in school:
- Finding unit fractions of an amount: https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/articles/zjtg47h
- Finding non-unit fractions of an amount: https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/articles/z6cbhcw
Just a quick reminder that PE days are now Monday and Friday this term.
Well done for a great start to the term everyone. I hope that you are all very excited to begin our new Art topic tomorrow!
