Year 2 Ennis Measure

Ennis class have had a wonderful time learning all about measure. We began by discussing the different pieces of equipment we could use to measure different objects. The children have explored the difference between mm, cm and m. Using a fantastic book, we measured a life size tiger and the length of his whiskers. We used string to measure the whiskers as they curled slightly and then used our rulers to find the accurate length. We had great fun.

Today the children had to measure the height and length of different dinosaurs. We used metre sticks and chalk to create the dinosaurs on the playground. We then compared the length and height of different dinosaurs using the fact sheet.
