Year 3 Rowling – Harvest

We’ve had another great week in Rowling class this week!

To finish our week, we began to look ahead to our upcoming Harvest Festival assembly where we celebrate harvest and share its importance including the Harvest around the world.

Today, we went outside to find natural objects which we used to create art work that will be shown in our final assembly. We found natural objects on the playground and in the forest and then came together in groups to create all of the letters of the word HARVEST. This group created the whole word and even decorated it after!

This will form part of our assembly, as we will be writing Harvest acrostic poems in our classes ready to perform.

It’s a really exciting time and we also enjoyed listening to the words of the songs. Some children have words to say and have now brought these home to practise. If you have words, please practise saying them out loud and see if you can learn them by heart!

Over the next few weeks we will be learning the songs, practising our words and creating our assembly together. We are really excited!

Have a great weekend,

Miss Gedney
