The Tempest

Welcome back Mandela Class! What a fantastic start to the year you have all made. For the next three weeks, we will be learning about The Tempest in our English lessons and have engulfed ourselves into a Shakespearian world so far this week. Through a range of drama activities, we have explored the plot pattern, the characters involved and considered what it must have been like to be on the ship as The Tempest storm raged it apart whilst carrying Antonio, the King of Naples and his men. On Tuesday, we created freeze frames to represent the plot pattern. We had to consider our facial expressions, positions, how we could use props and what we were trying to portray so that it was really clear which scene we were representing. We can’t wait to continue exploring the shipwreck and The Tempest more over the next few weeks.
