A great week in Paddington Class

We have been busy writing our own versions of Nobot The Robot this week and I have been so impressed with the children’s creative ideas and enthusiasm to write.  I took these photos in a moment when I felt so proud to see all the children working hard on their individual stories.  Next week the children will be creating their very own Lost and Found story, I am looking forward to see what our authors write next!

In Geography we are learning about where Northampton is and this week the children worked in pairs to add labels to a map of the UK.  It was a great lesson where the children worked really well in their teams, using atlases to find the names of countries, capital cities and seas.  Next week we will start to learn about a coastal area in the UK and compare it to Northampton.

In RE we started to learn about what is special to people who believe in Judaism, we learnt about the Mezuzah and the Toah.  We then talked about things that are important to us, comments that were made include:

A photo of my grandad is special because it helps me remember him.

The bible is special to me because it helps me think of being a Christian.

My sisters are special to me because I like to play with them.

My teddy is special to me because he helps me sleep.

My family is special because they love me and are fun to be with.

We have have another brilliant week together, well done team Paddington! I hope you have a great weekend and I look forward to seeing you all on Monday,

Mrs Egan
