Forest School and Geography in Matilda Class
We had a great time in Forest School today. We enjoyed the sunshine and made bird feeders by threading cereal onto pipe cleaners, some children were really creative and we will have some happy birds! Other children made mud soups and cakes whilst some balanced on the obstacle course and invented stories in the fairy garden.
In Geography we are learning about where Northampton is and this week the children worked in pairs to add labels to a map of the UK. It was a great lesson where the children worked really well in their teams, using atlases to find the names of countries, capital cities and seas. Next week we will start to learn about a coastal area in the UK and compare it to Northampton.
We have had a great week in Matilda Class. Have a brilliant weekend and we look forward to seeing you on Monday.
