Another great week in Mozart class!

We have had another fabulous week in Mozart class! The children have been working really hard on their warm writes, which involves them writing a discussion text all about whether or not wizards should be allowed to practise magic outside of the wizarding world. They have been trying their best to include sentence signposts and generalisers to ensure their discussion points are linked and flow well. I have been extremely impressed by their first few paragraphs so far! They will be finishing these on Monday ready to start their hot writes later next week.

In RE, we have been learning about Christianity and promises. As it was the last lesson of the unit this week, we did a retrieval quiz to see how much the children could remember – and I was astounded by how much they had taken in over the last few weeks! We have learnt all about the story of Noah’s ark, the story of Abraham, as well as how Christians make promises today, such as at weddings or within charities.

In science, we have been learning about the water cycle. The children now have good knowledge of the key concepts of the water cycle – condensation, evaporation, transpiration and precipitation. They have found this topic really fascinating and are always asking questions to find out more!

We are very proud of all of the children’s progress so far this year. I hope you all have a lovely weekend!
