Invention week in Mozart class!

Wow, what an amazing first week back we have had! The children have settled in brilliantly and are clearly keen to get straight into their learning.

This week, it has been invention week. We have been focusing on a spell all about a raven from a book called The Lost Words by Robert Macfarlane and Jackie Morris, as shown below:

Having read the spell, the children were asked to work in groups of five to do some performance poetry at the front of the class, showing off their amazing expression.

During the rest of the week’s afternoon lessons, the children have been working really hard on creating a final presentation piece’, consisting of a spine poem about a raven and a drawing (using their best pencil dictionary skills!) illustrating a raven’s beak. The children have shown great perseverance with this task, and all did a fantastic job. We are very impressed by the final outcomes! Here are just a few examples:

Have a lovely weekend!
