Shakespeare in Reception

We are really enjoying the whole school Shakespeare unit of work in Reception!

This week, we have been looking at how different lots of things would have been in medieval times, compared to today. We have been exploring different food, transport, communication, clothing and buildings to name a few aspects. The children have worked really hard to put their drama boots on, and imagine what life would be like hundreds of years ago.

One big difference the children noticed was their writing tools. We looked at quills and ink, and made our own quills in Forest School using sticks and feathers, then mixed up some mud to use ask ink!

It has been another fabulous week in Reception, well done everyone!
