Year 5 – Guildhall Trip

Yesterday Year 5 took a trip into the town centre to complete some artwork of the Guildhall. We learned all about the history of the building, the style of architecture and who the 14 statues were tributes of. Then we brought our sketchbooks and viewfinders out to capture a small detail from the Guildhall building to complete detailed sketches. After a while, we went to the museum to compare the old and new parts of the building and complete some more sketches. We had a little bit of time to explore some of the exhibits before boarding the coach back to school. It was a great afternoon out!
